Refund Policy
Clear rules for website setup payments, monthly maintenance, custom project requests, and duplicate payments.
Last updated: June 2026
1. Overview
Ehopto Digital provides website design, demo website preparation, website setup, maintenance, digital business tools, and related support services. This policy explains when refunds may be considered.
2. Demo-first website process
In many cases, Ehopto may prepare or present a demo website direction before the client makes final payment. Demo websites are used to help clients understand the proposed look, structure, and value of the website before committing.
A demo or preview does not automatically mean ownership of the website has transferred to the client. Ownership, launch rights, domain connection, and final delivery normally occur after the relevant payment has been made and accepted.
3. Website setup payments
Website setup payments, including the R999 once-off for Starter websites and R1,999 once-off for Business websites setup fee, cover time spent planning, designing, preparing, customising, and launching a website. If work has not yet started, a refund may be considered.
If work has already started, Ehopto may retain a fair portion of the payment for work already performed. Once a website has been delivered, launched, transferred, or substantially completed, setup payments are generally non-refundable.
4. Monthly maintenance and additions
The monthly maintenance plan covers reasonable ongoing support, small content updates, minor additions within the plan, hosting support, security checks, backups, and general care for the website.
Monthly maintenance can be cancelled by giving written notice before the next billing cycle. Payments already processed for the current billing period are generally non-refundable, but the service will remain available for that paid period where possible.
5. Custom project requests
Custom requests such as advanced forms, booking systems, portals, payment integrations, APIs, dashboards, branding, or special functionality may require a separate quote. Refund terms for custom work may depend on the scope, stage of work, and whether the work has already been delivered or substantially completed.
6. Duplicate or accidental payments
Duplicate or accidental payments will be reviewed and refunded after verification.
7. Service issues
If a service issue is caused by Ehopto, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve it. A refund may be considered only after we have had a fair opportunity to investigate and correct the issue.
8. Contact
Refund requests can be sent to Ehopto Digital using the contact details on the website. Please include your name, business name, payment reference, and a short explanation of the request.
This policy is intended to be fair and practical, while respecting applicable South African consumer protection laws.
